South Korea and Africa are far away from each other, their diplomatic relations has gone through such historical stages:initial contact, tortuous development, deep isolation and rapid warming. Long distance in geography is the main reason led to diplomatic isolation between South Korea and Africa. Compare with the cold diplomatic relations in the past, there is a rapid warming between South Korea and Africa in recent years which attracted the attention of the international community.In recent years, South Korea's expansion and strengthen on diplomatic relations with Africa has many considerations:meeting the resources including energy and food, opening up African market, improving the international status of South Korea as well as solving global problems etc., these factors all constitute implementation of South Korea's strategic intent of foreign policy to Africa. Accordingly, South Korea implemented the "South Korea and Africa Forum" as the main platform, focusing on protection of resources requirements, searching "pivot states" in Africa, promoting the Korean culture vigorously and other specific measures. And these measures expanded and deepened the diplomatic relations between South Korea and African countries effectively.The actions that South Korea has taken to develop and strengthen the diplomatic relations with Africa had a great influence on both sides. South Korea reached the predefined target basically in its African diplomacy and Africa also won some bene-ficial development in this process. Of course, there is also some inevitable negative influences occurred in it. Generally speaking, South Korea on its foreign policy to Africa achieved some progress preliminarily, in the foreseeable future, South Korea's foreign policy to Africa will continue to put into execution. At the same time, the unbalanced developmental situation of communication field between South Korea and Africa will be continued.
