Food is essential for people's lives. Unsafe food may have a direct infringement of people's physical health. With the continued rapid development of China's economy and society, food safety issues have attracted more and more nationwide attention. Food security related to people's health and even lives, related to the sound development of the country's economic and political stability. Therefore, we take all aspects of the measures to guarantee the food security, food safety regulatory agencies, the development of food safety standards. Promulgated and implemented in2009the People's Republic of China Food Safety Law has played an active role to improve China's food safety regulatory system. However, China's food safety regulatory model does not change fundamentally, there are still many problems in day-to-day supervision of food safety, China's food safety regulatory status quo is still not optimistic, therefore, to strengthen and improve the food safety regulatory system and related The system is particularly important and urgent.This article is divided into five parts:Chapter I Introduction, including the background and significance of the topics of today's dynamic and research methods.Chapter II introduces the basic theory of food safety regulation. This section focuses on specific food safety concepts defined in the theoretical analysis of the concept of food safety regulation and food safety control problems, mainly from the perspective of economics to analyze the deeper reasons, including market failure and government failure, leading to food safety regulatory problems, laying the groundwork for the following.Chapter III outlined the case of two typical recent food safety supervision, to reveal the status quo of China's food safety regulation, the specific summary of the problems still exist in today's food safety supervision. Chapter IV, the foreign food safety regulatory system overview and inspiration. Mainly used by the United States is a classification of regulatory approach, and Canada take a unified regulatory approach, different regulatory modes have different characteristics, but are also the basis of the country's specific conditions, related primarily to the analysis of China's specific national conditions, combined with foreign successful model and find the reference system.Chapter Vis the assessment of our current food safety regulatory legal system and improve countermeasures. That part of the focus of this article first analyzes the problems, especially after the promulgation of the "Food Safety Law", China's food safety regulatory laws there are some inadequacies in the legal system of China's current food safety supervision, for the inadequacies strengthened, such as the government information disclosure system should be strengthened to improve the punitive damages system, so that consumers and industry associations to play a more checks and balances and oversight role, the chief subject of regulatory responsibility to be more clearly defined.
