First of all, inspected our country rural autonomous history, including the village in the feudal society and village autonomy in the period of Republic of China, and summarizes the main features of each stage of rural autonomy. Secondly, analyzes and discusses the villager autonomy to the establishment and development of contemporary Chinese, including the village society and its characteristics, the connotation and characteristics of villager autonomy, villager autonomy function and significance.
