A Study On The Demands For The Rights And Interests Of The New Generation Of Urban Migrant Workers

The group of the new generation of urban migrant workers is an important part of the workforce in our country, they play an important role in the development of the socialist economy and have made outstanding contributions in the development of our country's economy. But the way in which they are different from the old generation of urban migrant workers is that their mental attitudes and behaviour are increasingly urbanized which reflects that their demands for the rights and interests are changing. They have a more clear and definite recognition of their own demands for the rights and interests which raises a higher requirement for our country and the government, and has a significant influence in the employment and urban development policies of our country. It determines what kinds of public policies should be made and implemented to meet their demands for the rights and interests, as well as the cities' attitude to the new generation of urban migrant workers. As a result, it has a vital significance to study their mental attitudes, behaviour and their demands for the rights and interests of the new generation of urban migrant workers. This paper conducts a questionnaire survey about the new generation of urban migrant workers in the construction industry in Wuzhong District, Soochow City, on the basis of the analysis of the questionnaire results to expound the demands for the rights and interests of the new generation of urban migrant workers, several main influences and perfecting the public policies systematically.
