In 2007, in the light of physique health status of juvenile students, the state council convened a videophone conference. The conference was aimed at reinforcing youngsters' education and strengthening youngsters' physique. After the conference, the "Advice from the State Council of the Central Committee of the CPC on Strengthening Youngsters' Physique" was issued. The "Advice" required that effective measures should be taken to practically change the situation.According to juvenile physique health status, the great move of the high school entrance PE exam was taken by the Education Ministry. In 2007, Jinzhou was listed as one of national cities under experimental reform of the high school entrance PE exam.In accordance with the author's practical experience of PE teaching and experience of leading students to take the high school entrance PE exam, it is objectively demonstrated that nearly all the examinees will have tension once they enter exam field. The tension not only causes fluctuation of students'autonomous nervous system, but also hinders students from normally performing their sports technical skills. To solve the problem, the author does the following research.The research is carried on students from two classes of 7th grade in No.8 Middle School, Jinzhou. These students of the two classes have similar results of first round of PE exams. As the experimental team, one class have lessons of psychological training, while as the comparison team, another class only have normal lessons. At last, through the difference of PE exam results of the two teams, the author will discuss the important role of psychological training in middle school PE exam.The result of the research shows that on the one hand, students can be taught to adjust and control their psychological condition by routine psychological trainings. Those trainings includes well defined goals, image training, exams replacing training, training on focus and distraction of attention, follow-up of questionnaire survey and etc.. On the other hand, on-the-spot psychological training will help students to adjust themselves to the atmosphere of the exam place as soon as possible, get rid of bad emotion, stimulate exciting feeling about exam and at last get outstanding results. Those trainings include methods of jogging and warming-up, adjusting and controlling breath, distracting attention, being excited by clapping, being encouraged by embracing, being rclax by music, setting examples by teachers and etc.. The research shows that psychological training plays an important role in middle school PE exam. Also, the research could be used as proper reference of enhancement of result of middle school students' high school entrance PE exam.
