Study On The Effect Of Pitching Machine In Tennis Course

On the basis of many years' tennis teaching experience, this thesis analyses the status quo of tennis teaching in colleges; and then combined with the practical situation, it studies the feasibility, practicability and teaching effect of the application of pitching machine in tennis course. The purpose of this thesis is to put forward an innovative teaching method which is expected to improve the quality and effect of tennis teaching, and stimulate the development of PE teaching reform by adding new teaching elements and technical means.The author employs methods of literature review, experiments, mathematical statistics, expert interviews, questionnaire and comparative analysis to study the feasibility and effect of pitching machine-aided teaching. Main results and conclusions are as follows:1,The application of pitching machine-aided teaching can better improve students' tennis skills. Experiments indicate that compared with students from the control class, those from the experimental class which adopts the pitching machine-aided teaching can better master the basic skills and improve themselves more quickly. It proves that pitching machine-aided teaching is feasible in tennis course.2,The application of pitching machine-aided teaching can better bring students' interest, enthusiasm and initiative into full play. Experiments indicate that students are much interested in the pitching machine serving, and become more active to participate into the practice.3,The application of pitching machine-aided teaching is better for the individual guided education. Experiments indicate that the workload of teachers can be reduced by employing the pitching machine, which leaves teachers more time and energy to carry out close guidance, correcting wrong movements in time. This ensures the teaching quality and greatly improves students' skills as a whole.4,The application of pitching machine-aided teaching can increase the intensity of physical training. Pitching machine intensifies the practice of students per unit time as well as increases their physical activity and exercise intensity. In one word, this kind of teaching makes physical training not only more interesting but also more efficient.
