| The sport of table tennis has been one of the most widely developed and the most powerful sport, and so it is called as"Chinese national sport". In our country, this sport has been promoted widely, and the influence of it can compare to any other sport. Under the promotion of country's political system and the great interest of Chinese people, Chinese table tennis has made more than one miracles. But, too much is as bad as too little, the advantages of being the only one who can win not only promote the development of this sport in China but also suppress the development of this sport abroad. Based on the aim of cultural interaction and promoting the level of world's table tennis, our country has sent some players go abroad to develop by government or by their own charge. Especially from the end of 1980s, some players both on active duty and decommissioning have go abroad to go on play gradually. Through their own effort, most of them have gotten a good place in competitions, and some of them even join the nationality of the country they play for, and compete with the players from China on behalf of that country. All of these players are called"overseas corps". The word of"overseas corps"is mainly used to described the sports talents who have gone abroad to get the development. And this word is mainly used to indicate those players and coaches working for foreign countries, including the players and coaches who have gone to Hong Kong and Tai Wan at the same time. So it can only be named"overseas"instead of"foreign". And these talents have got a great number and mention lots of aspects, so they are called"corps".In all the sports events, the number of"overseas corps"in table tennis sport is relatively large, and the influence is relatively greater. Now the table tennis players from our country can be seen everywhere in the world. To some extent,"overseas corps"has promote the development and popularity of table tennis, meanwhile the competition result of the country who have attracted the players from China has been raised obviously. But the unlimited development of the overseas corps has brought great negative effect without doubt. First, the living space of importer country's players has been squeezed, and the little chance of attending high-level competition has been seized. The direct harm which has brought is that the players of importer country will produce the rebellious attitude to this sport. Second, the highest-level competition of this sport has become the inner competition among Chinese players. Because of the limited number of players who can attend the competitions, such as the Olympic Games, there will be some influence on China. But due to the development of Chinese overseas corps, the limit of attending players'number has been avoided, so the embarrassing phenomenon of"national competition, Chinese competition"has come out. And this phenomenon has restrained the popularity of this sport greatly. Last, because of the large gap between Chinese economy and developed countries, some young players want to go abroad to earn more money. So this will also bring a negative effect on our country's sport of table tennis. From all of these, the overseas corps has made great harm to both importer countries and exporter countries, even to the whole national environment. So how to control the number of the"overseas corps", making them play the best effect and avoid the harm, has been one subject which the international table tennis federation (ITTF) have to face. Because of this, this thesis has raised the proposal of"limiting overseas corps".The study mainly discusses and analyzes the relative problems about the passing proposal of"limiting overseas corps"by ITTF, especially has made a clear demonstration on the influence of future development of table tennis. At last, this thesis has demonstrated the reasonability of"limiting overseas corps", pointing out that the final aim of ITTF is not to restrict the development of table tennis, but to promote the sustainable development of table tennis. |
