Table tennis has a deep mass base in our country and is deeply loved and welcomed by the public.With the rapid development of competitive sports in China,more and more excellent table tennis players have emerged.In addition,a large number of sports events have been followed up by the news media.The public have more opportunities to know and be familiar with table tennis players.Middle school students belong to a special group of people in the society.The physical and mental characteristics and development rules at the present stage make them the main part of contemporary table tennis star worship.At the same time,the popularity of electronic products and the increase of learning pressure lead to the continuous compression of time for middle school students to participate in physical exercise.Table tennis stars have a strong social awareness and play a leading role in the life and study of middle school students.How to play a positive role in the identification of table tennis stars and enhance the motivation of middle school students to participate in table tennis is the main content of this paper.This paper randomly selected eight middle school students to participate in sport in Wuhan city as the research object,using the literature material method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics and research methods of data collection,induction,analysis and finishing,explore table tennis star identity and the relationship between the middle school students to participate in sport motivation.Results:1.Middle school students show diversified characteristics in identifying characteristics of table tennis stars.In the table tennis star recognition degree,middle school students present the alienation trend of business trip.2.Middle school students of different genders,ages and skill levels show different characteristics in their motivation to participate in table tennis.Boys' motivation is higher than girls' in improving skills,healthy development,self-expression and project characteristics.Junior high school students have higher motivation than senior high school students in improving skills,healthy development,self-expression,developing friendship and project characteristics.The motivation of school team students was higher than that of non-school team students in improving skills,healthy development,self-expression and project characteristics.3.Surface identification can deepen students' understanding and understanding of table tennis and stimulate their motivation to participate in table tennis;The identity of substance is helpful for middle school students to form their personal sports values and strengthen their participation in table tennis.On the one hand,sports identity can play the role of a table tennis star to stimulate the imitation and learning of table tennis skills of middle school students.On the other hand,sports identity will make middle school students pay too much attention to the results of the game and ignore the efforts and gains in the process of the game,which is not conducive to the formation of correct sports values of middle school students.4.Moderate identification can enhance the interest of middle school students in table tennis,enhance the technical level of table tennis,and enhance the motivation of middle school students to participate in table tennis;Although moderate identification can satisfy the self-expression motivation of middle school students,it has no significant effect on the improvement of their participation motivation in table tennis.Extreme identification leads to blind consumption of middle school students,who accept the thoughts and behaviors of stars,which is not conducive to the formation of motivation for middle school students to participate in table tennis.
