Along with the first round of ever-deeping curriculum reform in elementary education, teachers'professional competence becomes the key to the success of the reform. Many ways are to promote professional development for teachers, among which, school-based teacher training has been more and more appreciated by education administrators because it's practical and operable. Taking exploration of case as the breakthrough point to enhance school-based research has drawn close attention and attempts of the educational circles.The present study chooses Chuiyangliu middle schools in Beijing as research base. Action research is conducted in light of teachers'actual conditions in order to make exploration of educational case be the mode of school-based research, and the influence of the exploration of educational case on the educational practice of teacher themselves and the whole staff can promote teachers'professional competence.Action Research Approach is primary method in this study, supplemented by the research method of literature, fieldwork and case studies. After the analysis of research questions, we come to the following conclusions:1. This research may contribute to establish and prefect teach-researching system, which can help Chuiyangliu middle schools middle school to establish relatively complete school-based teach-researching system. 2. Resource Database of Educational Case is preliminarily constructed. Resource Database includes four kinds of cases:teaching of school subjects cases, moral education cases, psychological education cases and teaching management cases, embodying 82 pieces of excellent school-based cases.3. Through research and exploration, the professional competence of the teachers in this school has been improved, the main expressions are:(1) It promotes the teachers' comprehension and application of the new teaching concepts. The development and application of the school-based cases strengthens the ties of teachers' practice in the classroom and teaching theories, and improves them to comprehend and use advanced teaching concepts.(2) It helps teachers to improve teaching skills and to enhance scores. One key purpose of exploration of school-based cases is to promote teaching practice and professional competence through reflection and analysis of the uncertain and complicated situations during the process of the teaching. The experiment over the last year an a half can apply to improve achievement of the teachers, and the direct embodiment is that students' scores of college entrance examination are obviously higher for two years.(3) It urges teachers' reflection on pedagogy. The teachers can achieve a lot through reflecting on the their teaching behavior and the outcome and doing analysis. And the quantity and the quality of teachers' research paper, as well as the pass rate of defense for the high professional title, prove that the teachers are gradually enhancing their research ability.(4) It enhances research capabilities of teachers. During the process of exploration cases, the teachers constantly use modern educational concept and method to examine their own teaching behaviors, and then they apply achievement of the research to the teaching practice. Besides, discussing about cases and researching atmosphere also promote school-based research capabilities.(5) School-based educational cases advance the actual effect of school-based teach researching. Especially in the writing of cases, the teachers can share different teaching experiences of each others and know better the thoughts and practices of their profession. Thus, the teachers' professional competence and effect of school-based teach researching could be both enhanced.
