In recent years, with the development of society, a new social group--- rural migrant workers ---as emerged and gained momentum in China as a product of reform and opening up and social transformation. Correspondingly, the education of these workers' children has attracted more and more attention from people of all walks. The instability of these workers leads to difficulty in the education of their children. Meanwhile, the children's vulnerability to frustration resulting from their family background, psychology and education causes trouble to school administration. As a result, how to deal with emergency events and conflicts in school caused by these children's weak ability to face frustration and, in particular, what psychological measures can be taken to improve their capacity in this aspect has become a hot issue for teaching staff. With continuous improvement of compulsory education and balancing development of education as a whole, more and more rural migrant workers' children enter local schools for study, which adds to schools' difficulty in dealing with extreme problems concerning these children. To make things worse, more local children become leftover children as their parents choose to work in another city. The absence of parents for a long time leaves a great chance for these kids to develop problems in life, study and psychology. Prompt attention, in-depth analysis and in-time resolution of these children's psychological problems will be of great importance to healthy development of the children and their family happiness. That also has a close relation with deeper reform, social stability and further economic development. In the writer's school, there are immigrant workers' children as well as students whose parents have steady jobs in locality. Despite enjoying the same educational resources, immigrant workers' children, compared with children from locality, are more vulnerable when facing frustrations in study and life. That, undoubtedly, results from their weak educational and economic foundation as well as poor family economy. To find out the status quo of immigrant workers' children's ability to face frustration, the thesis investigates and compares two groups of upper-class students in the researcher' primary school---children from immigrant worker families and local families---from three aspects, i.e., ability to tolerate and dispel frustration, ability to resist frustration in study and ability to deal with frustration in social communication. On the basis of the data counted and sorted up in this way, the thesis tries to analyze the formation factors of immigrant workers' children's ability to face frustration. Then case study is conducted and finally the thesis comes up with the suggestion that immigrant workers' children's ability to face frustration can be improved by joint work of school, family and society.
