Emerging from Europe and the New World at the time between the 18th or 19th century, Feminism has gone through three waves, during which significant accomplishments have been made regarding women's rights and social status. However, that's far from enough for women to enjoy full equality with men in any sense. For various cultures throughout human history, it has been the universal case that women are inferior to men politically, economically, culturally, intellectually and ethically. Male Chauvinism assumes that the inferiority of women to men is not only universal, but also immutable because it is the design of nature. Feminists, on the contrary, deny the assumption and believe it is human-made.Therefore, it is necessary to explore the female subjectivity in lights of Constructivism. Existing research on female subjectivity has been profoundly impacted by the power of discourse theory raised by Foucault, because Feminism shares the ground with Foucault in not just emphasizing the function of discourse, or the mechanics that produce and maintain the power of discourse, but also in the potential challenge embedded in the marginalized or uncovered utterance. Hence Foucault's theory has marched Feminism onto a new frontier and thus become a new weapon for the transformation of Feminism. Meanwhile, the constructive interaction between discourse and subjectivity, namely the adaption and adjustments of discourse, has found a new path for the reconstruction of Feminism. The thesis contains three integrated parts. Part one brings about the notion of women as a gender either as a result of biological determination of social determination. The second part analyses the construction of female subjectivity from the perspective of the power of discourse. he analysis is carried out in three sections:1) it looks into the theoretical background of Foucault's power of discourse, which indicates that both Nietzsche and Heidegger has a significant impact.2) discourse, power and subject.3) the construction of female subjectivity from the perspective of the power of discourse.Part three the impact of the "power of discourse" theory on the construction of female subjectivity. In The thesis finds two critical trends in the ongoing Feminism:depoliticization and destruction.
