Yeomen mountain area has a long, bright and colorful history and culture. The folk circulates in yeomen mountain area have variety, colorful folk sports activities. Folk sports which develop in the long history is an important part of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. It has evolved, flexible , diverse forms and unique distinct national characteristics and it nourishes the Chinese national spirit in thousands of years , encourages the children's heroic onlooker and shows the infinite charm. In recent years, Due to the impact of the economic diversification, people on the folk sports cultural heritage protection and inheritance consciousness is abate and many colorful folk sports reduced to be forgotten almost in the situation. On the other hand is the modern western athletic sports implant, especially the Olympic Games in China. Similarly, folk sports in yeomen mountain area do not escaped from this global cultural baptism, and part of folk sports projects are in endangered or return of variable condition, situation extremely serious. The development of folk sports in yeomen mountain area has become the major issue how to continue its richness and diversity now. Face to this situation, as a researcher I research and explored yeomen mountain from the view of culture in order to protect and develop yeomen culture. The research object is folk sports of yeomen mountain area, and the main methods are documentation, visiting and on-the-spot investigation, expert interview, combined with comparative analysis and induction and other methods. From the social and cultural perspectives discussed main content and features, emphatically elaborated formation and development of the folk sports. Points key and briefly introduces the origin, form and the developed situation. Deeply analyzing features, functionality, cultural value, the relationship with other disciplines.The results of the study show that Under the background of folk sports, combined particular area , particular cultural and particular folk perfect.; Yeomen mountain area folk sports face existential crisis, need to undertake sorting and transformation. Yeomen mountain area folk sports need more development platform.
