With the constant deepening of education reform, professional developments of teachers are facing new requirements and new challenges. The education reform is teachers'reform at first, which determines the success or failure of the education reform. The majorities of teachers have arrived to the consensus on striving for an early transformation into expert teachers and initiative to take the road of professional developments.Under the guidance of the framework about the characteristics of expert teachers and the theory of teachers'professional development phases, then using the methods of interviews,case study and narrative research comprehensively and based on a systematic analysis on relevant literature about domestic and foreign expert teachers and special grade teachers, this paper discusses the definitions of expert teachers and special grade teachers and the relationship between them. And it takes the special grade teacher Liu Yunlai as a case study, thus verifying and adding the framework about the characteristics of expert teachers and enriching the cases of teachers'professional developments. Studies have shown that the teachers'professional developments are processes of continuous reflection and improvement of teachers in practices and to become an expert teacher, they need to be improved their professional levels from four aspects of knowledge, ability, personality, and behavior. It concludes that the effective way of teachers' professional developments is a combination of the four aspects of learning, teaching, studying and writing.This paper consists of five chapters.Chapter One: Introduction. It mainly introduces the origin of the research, puts forward the problem of the research, and illustrates the methods, implementing process and significances of the research.Chapter Two: Literature Review. It gives an overall review of the literature on the relevant researches on expert teachers home and abroad.Chapter Three: Theoretical Exploration. It describes the theoretical framework of this research, gives description of expert teachers and special grade teachers, tries to find differences between expert teachers and special grade teachers, and discusses on how novice teachers can grow up as expert teachers based on the theory of teachers'professional development phases and the characteristics of expert teachers. Chapter Four: Case Study. It takes a special grade teacher from the High School Attached to Jiangxi Normal University Liu Yunlai's growth as a case, displays his story of professional growth and at the same time combines with theoretical foundation to find their joint and thus forming available conclusions conducive to teachers' growth in various phases.Chapter Five: Research Enlightenment. It mainly illustrates the enlightenments for teachers'professional developments, analyzes factors, methods and paths which can influence the growth of expert teachers and thus finally arriving the aim of being expert teachers.Through the research above, teachers should realize that teachers' professional developments and to achieve the goal of being an expert teacher, depending on the classroom alone is not enough, only continue to improve knowledge level, enhance personality charm, try to play independent motivation, make unremitting efforts, insist on thinking can really take a road of successful professional developments.
