While vigorously advocating learning from advanced teachers,the country has also put forward higher requirements for teachers.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the professional growth process of special teachers regardless of whether they are learning advanced teachers or improving the quality of education and teaching.In this study,the professional growth course of teacher Z,a special sports teacher,was used as a research object.A case study method was used to interview and observe the teacher.The corresponding materials were collected from Teacher Z's pre-employment preparation phase and the adaptation phase.The four stages of the mature stage and continuous development are further explored.Then we found out what Z teacher has done in various fields such as sports majors,teaching,and scientific research.After sorting out these materials,we analyzed the main factors affecting Z's professional growth.The conclusion of the study is that the main factors affecting their professional development are divided into internal factors,external factors and differences in conditions.The internal factors are mainly emotional input,self-professional development awareness,motivation and perseverance.The external factors mainly come from the affirmation of leadership,family support and colleagues' help.The difference in conditions is mainly manifested in both environmental and gender aspects.Finally,according to Z's professional growth history,the important qualities of the special grade teachers are extracted.Special grade teachers often have the following traits: love education;persevere,work hard,keep growing;keep persistent learning,meticulous in teaching practice,accumulate teaching experience;focus on improving scientific research ability,good at discovering,thinking and solving problems,gradually forming a unique Education and teaching theory.Teacher Z,as a special sports teacher,also has her own uniqueness.Herspecial study experience and her outstanding “a multi-talented ”skills cast her different characteristics from other special teachers.Although this feature cannot be completely imitated,it can arouse the thinking and attention of teachers,and thus pay more attention to teaching practice and strive for progress and improvement.
