Research On The Image And Logo Construction Of The National Games

Major sports events have become hot spot by people along with the continuous development of domestic sports competition. One sports event wants to be outstanding through numerous similar events and continuously developing for long-term. It must builds up its own unique logo and this is the most important component for a sports event to be successful. Once people understand and accept the logo of a sports event, they would automatically pay more attentions and passions to this event. Therefore, the sports event would get supports by people for long-term. The purpose of this thesis is to promote the comprehensive and sustainable development of the National Games of China through analysis the possibility and necessity of developing the logo of the National Games of China, and discusses the current economic, social and historical conditions in China by using the example of Olympic Games. Also, this thesis introduces the origin and development of emblems, including the Olympic Games'emblem and the National Games of China's emblem. Literature reviews, expert interviews, observations, comparative studies and other comprehensive approaches are the main research methods for this thesis, as follows:1. The National Games (hereinafter referred to as"Games") enhanced national cohesion and national pride of people; incented the economy of host city; promoted people's life standards. Also, it brought a good atmosphere for fitness of people in whole country.2. The Games is the largest and most influences sports event in China. Along with the developing trend, it formed its own unique logo. Establishing a logo is a long term process because it is not only need to complied with the characteristics of Chinese nation but also meet the characteristics of different regions of China. In future, the Games would attract many international friends to participate. Therefore, the logo of the Games is necessary to recognize with international language plays a very significant role.3. Through analyzing study of the Olympic Games'logo helps to understand the current status of Chinese logo design, and the foundation and development of Games'logo.
