In November 2014, China's Ministry of Education promulgated the relevant documents to amend the "ordinary high school art curriculum standards", thus, art disciplines put forward five core literacy, namely, image recognition, art performance,aesthetic judgment, creative practice,cultural understanding. As the high school art curriculum standards are being revised, the name may change, but the content is relatively definite. "image recognition" , interpretation of the image, so as to obtain knowledge and visual information. With the advent of the era of visual culture, people every day in the work and study life is essential to read the map, the traditional means of information dissemination has been an unprecedented challenge, for this art teaching should explore the development of the times and adapt to the teaching methods, In the art of teaching by recognition the image, cultivate students', the Ability of image recognition access to useful information.The logo, as a special visual symbol, has a strong message communication function that conveys specific information in a concise pattern. The signs are closely related to our lives, concise and clear arrows and eye-catching traffic lights guide our lives, in the subway station, airports, shopping malls, schools and other places a variety of signs to help guide, manage the crowded crowd, People acquire visual information by reading signs. Logo design is a high school art "design" field, although in the current different versions of the art textbooks, primary schools, secondary schools and high schools are involved in the design of the logo design content, but the logo teaching is mostly based on the design method for the purpose, Cultivate image recognition literacy as the goal.In this paper, I study the teaching method of logo design aiming at cultivating image recognition. Taking "lesson and visual recognition system" as an example, explores the students' image recognition and practice image recognition ability. Through the teaching practice research of middle school of Central China Normal University, the author applies the theory of logo teaching to practice, sums up the teaching method of logo design based on cultivating image recognition and enriches the theoretical system of art core accomplishment.
