Independent College Student Management Reform

College student management is an essential part of higher education administration. With the constant deepening of higher education in recent few years, the traditional mode of student management has already been broken, and all concepts, systems, methods and approaches of the traditional mode have been challenged.The independent college is in the higher edueation popularity advancement appears has the Chinese characteristic according to the managed by the people mechanism movement universities.It is an important part of higher education. As the independent college in th emanagement system, the location of running a school, teachers and students, the student management in independent colleges have their own characteristics. The effective goals of student management can't be achieved by the existing administration system any more, unless a reform is to be put forwarded.This article studies the reform of college student management. It analyzes the situation and problems of the student management in independent colleges, and dissect the reasons.Basic principles of student management construction are raised. Strategies of reform, meanwhile, are brought forward from perspectives of renewing guiding ideology of student management, improving the administration system, enhancing the building up of the management team and creating new ways of student management, to provide countermeasures for student management.The application of reform strategies towards independent colleges' student management is demonstrated by several cases. It means to make corresponding suggestions for future student management of independent colleges.
