Kindergarten-based teaching research is a kind of activity which is based on kindergarten garden's practice, with nursery school as a main body and consists of self-reflection, helping with each other and expert guidance. It is aiming at solving' teachers and others' problems in practice by selecting proper research fields, promoting children's healthy development, teacher's professional development, and improving the quality of kindergarten teaching.In May 2006, Nanjing became the first Kindergarten-based teaching research trial base in China, Different kinds of Kindergartens at various levels have made some achievements in exploration and practice, and accumulated some experience.But as a kind of new teaching mode, the development of Kindergarten-based teaching research is still underway, with the restriction of bad Kindergarten opening condition and poor teacher research ability, there are still a lot of problems in the practice of Kindergarten-based teaching research in Nanjing.So, what is the current situation of Kindergarten-based teaching research? What are the practical problems?And how to improve and adjust it?These are all what urgently needed to understand and solve in the process of Kindergarten-based teaching research.This study follows the investigating route by combining history and logic. By using methods of reviewing literature, questionnaire, observation, interview, experience and so on, Nanjing Kindergarten-based teaching research situation is thoroughly investigated, further more, existing problems are presented, and development advices are proposed.This paper consists of four parts. The first part of this research starts from the background of Kindergarten-based teaching research, and a summarization of Kindergarten-based teaching research's concept, research status is made, the research objects and research methods are presented; In the second part, questionnaires of ten kindergartens in Nanjing are analyzed, the status and effectiveness of Kindergarten-based teaching research are concluded; In the third part, the main problems and their causes of Kindergarten-based teaching research are summarized; In the fourth part, advices of Nanjing Kindergarten-based teaching research are proposed. This study aims at providing certain references for the development of Nanjing Kindergarten-based teaching research, and providing lively cases for the study and practice of Nanjing Kindergarten-based teaching research.
