The Correlation Studies Of Farmer Education And Regional Economic Development

Issues of agriculture, farmer and rural areas are vital to the process of well-to-do society construction. The improvement of farmer education and quality is a key element of new countryside construction. This improvement also holds strategic significance to the regional economic development and agriculture modernizes.Weifang, which located in middle-east part of Shandong province, is a chief producing area of distinctive agriculture. The integral quality of Weifang's farmer is keep improving since 1978, and the quality record is in top rank of Shandong province. Now Weifang has established distinctive agriculture mainly contains vegetable, fruit and stock farming, the growth of agriculture greatly improved regional economic development. This paper process a empirical research on the relativity between regional economic development and farmer education of Weifang city based on survey data.With the support of education theory and human capital theory, paper apply effective labor model to measure the contribution of human capital and material capital in rural economic development. Paper also evaluates Weifang's farmer education on the base of survey data. By data analyzing, this paper figures out several issues of Weifang's farmer education and agricultural skill training. Paper also provides solutions against current issues of farmer education, so as to improve regional economic development.Paper's result shows highly relevance between the GDP of Weifang and the farmer's average schooling. The per-capita net income of farmer and the farmer's average schooling also has highly relevance. The improvement of farmer's average schooling has an important driving effect on the GDP of Weifang and per-capita net income of farmer. Farmer quality and regional economic development have significant relevance. New countryside construction should concentrate on training farmer with high quality and modern skill. The improvement of farmer quality also benefits the process of farmer migration.Farmer education plays an important role in economic development of Weifang, but the farmer's average schooling of Weifang is low now and manpower of capital stocks is short. We should put forward more measures to promote economic development of Weifang. Vocational education and agriculture research should be developed and the reform of rural education should be deepened. Collaborative effect of the government, enterprises and farmers should be played, the input of farmer education should be increased and the education fund should be established. The education and training system should be improved. The education and training system of special industry of Weifang should be strengthed and new employment roads for surplus farmers of Weifang should be blazed.
