Based on analyzing the chief problems in students'writing which are unconnected with life, this paper proposes the research question on Life-based Writing, analyzes the research status and current issues both at home and abroad, clarifies the content of Life-based Writing and teaching model of Life-based Writing. According to basic principles of writing teaching, Ye Shengtao's thoughts of Life-based Writing and Tao Xingzhi's thoughts of Life-based Education, this paper constructs a teaching model of Life-based Writing whose meaning is writing for life, writing life, and developing a habit of Life-based Writing. In addition, in order to test and put this teaching model into practice, I design some teaching cases on Life-based writing.This paper consists of six chapters:Chapter-1 Introduction Based on analyzing the writing problems of students, this chapter proposes research questions and explains the research thoughts, methods and theoretical basis.Chapter-2 Literature Review This chapter devotes to literature analysis on the research status, development tendency, and current issues of Life-based Writing of both at home and abroad.Chapter-3 Life-based Writing and Teaching Model of Life-based Writing This chapter analyzes several role concepts, such as life, Life-based Writing and teaching model of Life-based Writing; and clarifies the content of Life-based Writing and teaching model of Life-based Writing.Chapter-4 Writing for Life: the First Step of Constructing Teaching Model of Life-based Writing This Chapter analyzes the writing goal, develops the idea of writing for life that is writing for the requirement and the self-realization of life. This is the first step of constructing teaching model of Life-based Writing.Chapter-5 Writing Life: the Second Step of Constructing Teaching Model of Life-based Writing This Chapter analyzes the writing content, develops the idea of writing life. It describes two types of life resources both direct and indirect, three methods of developing life resources, such as observing, investigation, and reading. This is the second step of constructing teaching model of Life-based Writing.Chapter-6 Developing a Habit of Life-based Writing: the Third Step of Constructing Teaching Model of Life-based Writing This Chapter analyzes the writing process, sets up the idea of developing a habit of Life-based Writing which includes inspiration from life, life-based writing, modification and the generalized publication of life-based writing. This is the third step of constructing teaching model of Life-based Writing.
