Hu Juren, the outstanding educationist and thinker in the early years of Ming Dynasty, acknowledging Wu Yubi, the famous Confucian in the time of the empire Cheng Ren, is well-read of the masterpiece of Confucian and devote himself to the ethics of Cheng and Zhu. Hu Juren insisted that loyalty and Integrity should be the priority of study, and that we study for self-content and act with respect. He said nothing is more important than respect. He build his study room in mountains and called it"Jing Zai"( the respect room) . The scholars from all the country come after him and he told them that we should study for ourselves, but not for being famous. He had presided Bai Lu Dong college and set down the six rules named"the complementarities of Bai Lu Dong college study rules". He also had delivered courses in Dong Yuan college in Guixi and in the house of king of southern part of china. He devoted his whole life to study, analyze and defend the ethics of Cheng and Zhu. In the early years of Ming Dynasty, Hu Juren call for teaching ethics of Cheng and Zhu in Jiangxi province with Lou Liang, Luo Lun, Zhang Yuanzheng and so on. They always gathered together at Ying Tian temple and Turtle mountains in Yugan, delivering course and teaching students, establish"Study of Yugan", which begin the learning method of meeting and discussing in Ming dynasty. Hu Juren live in simple and do not complain about lonely life. He thought little of becoming a civil officer and lead a poor life. In 1584, hundreds years later after Hu Juren's death, people offer sacrifices to him the same as confician, and he was conferred"Wen Jing". These are the highest reward for the outstanding Confucians in feudalism society and only four people have received this reward in the whole Ming dynasty.This essay is going to probe into the effect of Hu Juren in the education history in Ming dynasty.The first chapter is introduction. It talks about the reason and meaning of doing this research, and the current research situation of domestic and world research which is related with essay.The second chapter talks about the biography and theory background of Hu Juren, which includes the situation, development and features of the Confucian school of idealist philosophy. Through this chapter, you will learn that Hu Juren, the safeguard of Confucian school of idealist philosophy, is considered to be the most outstanding Confucian after Xue Xuan. He protest the official statues of a Confucian school of idealist philosophy.The third chapter discuss about the statues of Hu Juren in the education history. We give prominence to Hu Juren'statues by analyzing Hu Juren's education theory and activity. The chapter is about the treasure of Hu Juren's theory and thought. As one of the four scholar that is offered the same sacrifice as Confucian, we will find out the deep effect of his thought.The fourth chapter discuss about the application and inspiration of Hu Juren in modern society. We will learn some inspiration from Hu Juren's manner and thought.The fifth chapter is the conclusion, which includes the summaries of this essay and the evaluation of posterity towards Hu Juren.
