Adult higher academic education is an important part of higher educational system in China, which play an important role in perfecting educational system structure, promoting economic and social development, improving nationals' comprehensive qualities. Because of strong faculty force and well-appointed infrastructure, ordinary universities have obvious superiority in organizing adult higher academic education. Since 1995, the entrants and enrollments of adult higher academic education in ordinary universities have been over 50% of the whole adult higher academic education, and the rate was continuously expanded. Ordinary universities has long been main body of adult higher academic education.Along with the promulgation of ?Notice of The Sate Council Endorse Ministry of Education<Facing 21st Century Vitalize Education Action Plan >? in 1999, higher education of China enter the expansion era, Ordinary academic education entrants in ordinary universities increasing rapidly, adult academic education entrants also increase continuously. However, Educational resources and input are insufficient, in such circumstances, the quality of adult academic education in ordinary universities couldn't be guaranteed, thus the diploma of adult academic education become less and less approved by employer. The quality of education has been the important reason of influencing adult higher academic education candidates in ordinary universities. If adult higher academic education in ordinary universities wants a long-term development, they have to improve educational quality firstly. There are many reasons influencing the educational quality of adult higher academic education in ordinary universities, but the core reason is teaching model. Only constructing adult academic education teaching model which suit to adult students'characteristic feature can ensure and improve educational quality.In order to know the detail of adult academic education teaching model in ordinary universities, writer carried in-the-spot investigation and the questionnaire survey to adult students in some correspondence teaching school of ordinary universities. After survey research, writer draw a conclusion that current adult academic education teaching model in ordinary universities remain impart teaching model. Impart teaching model don't suit to the adult students' characteristic feature, which has many drawbacks, such as cause contradiction between work and learning; detrimental to cultivate adult students' self-efficacy; detrimental to raise teaching efficiency, etc. So, writer put forward guiding teaching model and point out that government should carry out adult teacher qualification certificate system and access system; quantifying the proportion of ordinary universities input to adult academic education; build "big adult education region"; pressing credit system reform of adult academic education in ordinary universities. In addition, for regulating the teaching behavior of correspondence teaching school of ordinary universities, government also should strict establish criterion of correspondence teaching school. Ordinary universities should enhance construction on teaching network, curriculum and textbook, improve the institutions of educational inspection. Correspondence teaching school should focus on the long term development, do a good job of each teaching link and teaching evaluation.
