| Adult higher education, which made a great contribution to the recovery and development of Chinese economy in the very period of time in the past, constitutes the major part of education system of the country. With the new background of structural transformation and popularization in higher education in China turned up obviously, its further existence and development face new challenge. Under the influence of historical background and school operating mechanism in a long period of passing time, adult higher education shows the similar characteristics shared with general higher education obviously, which could easily be found in the pedagogic field. Based on the characteristics of the adult learner, and the learning features as the main clue, this article demonstrates the current application of teaching models in adult higher education through theoretical discussion and investigation research on the evidence of the case study. And then provide principles and approaches of the construction of teaching models, as well as conceived design of typical representatives, which may well fit for the practice of adult teaching at the end in attempt to aid for the teaching practice of adult higher education.There are six parts constitute the article.The first part refers to the research background, literature review, major concepts discrimination, and basic idea of the research.The second part specializes in some major theories about the adult as the learner in teaching activities, which taken as the theoretical foundation of the demonstration of the article.The third and the fourth part analyze and demonstrate the current application of adult higher education from the perspective of theory and practice respectively. Different classifications of adult higher education in China are made in the theory part. Analysis of the case study in mandatory course of English and computation deduces in the part of practical research. In addition, practical matters of adult higher education are concluded at end and its causes are traced succinctly.The last chapter provides constructive proofs and principles which may well fit for the teaching practice on the basis of the previous analysis. One example of the conceived teaching model is proposed at end of the part. |
