Research On Communication Barriers And Its Countermeasures Between Counselors And College Students

According to The Regulation of the Construction of Common Higher School Instructor Staff promulgated by the Education Ministry of Chinese government, Counselors is an important part of the management team, the backbone of carrying out ideological and political education of college students, and the organizers, practitioners and instructors in the daily ideological and political education and management. In addition, Counselors are supposed to make great effort to be students' supervisor and intimated friends of life. However, as a result of the communication barriers among students and Counselors, it's very difficult for teachers and students to understand each other and reach agreement, hence, influence the development of students and realization of the education aims. Therefore, how to reduce and eliminate the communication barriers between Counselors and students and establish a harmonious relationship among them will have great significance and value in application.Combined with the particularity of Counselors work, this thesis mainly focuses on the systematic analysis of the main barriers among Counselors and students and its countermeasures from the perspectives of the elements in the process of communication and links in communication.The innovation of the research lies in that, firstly, close to the truth of Counselors and students in the new era, great effort has been made to the systematic analysis of the barriers among them. Secondly, In accordance with the change of Counselors'work, overall countermeasures are suggested. In particular, detail description is done to the application of the new working carriers and approaches.The thesis mainly consists of three chapters: Chapter 1 is introduction, which talks about the overall review of the subject based on the illustration of theoretical significance and practical value of the research. Combined with the particularity of Counselors work, it focuses on the discussion of the definition, characteristics, means and significance of the communication between Counselors and college students. It also analyzes the process element and characteristics compared with the general communication.In Chapter 2, process elements and links in communication are analized based on the characteristics of Counselors and college students as well as the barriers factors and reasons influencing their communication.Chapter 3 is the countermeasures, the standpoint and the end result of the thesis which embodies the theory guiding the concrete practice. It profoundly and comprehensively summarizes the effective strategies for the communication barriers between Counselors and college students from the perspectives of communication participants and other participating elements, based on practical experience and survey.
