Biology is a lab-based science. Experiment takes an important place in biology teaching, and it is the important component of biology teaching. Biological experiments is not only the most frequently-used method teachers used, but also the way students gain knowledge and skills, through which students enhance their scientific inquiry ability, innovation and sicentific literacy. Experiment teaching has a wealth of educational function as quality education, which can be viewed as a breakthrough to carry out quality education in high school biology teaching. New curriculum aims to introduce an independent, cooperative and exploring learning style, which calls for the selection and application of classroom teaching method as the key to these goals. "Academic Case Guidance " is the newly-introduced teaching model as a response to the current needs. "Instructional video" is a new type of teaching method that flourished in such a highly developed information and technology society. It is increasingly becoming the mainstream means of independent study with the carrier of the computer information technology, by combining with the subject character and strictly following the requirements of procedural teaching theory.Based on questionnaires and interviews of high school teachers and students in Jiangsu Province, the author finds the following problems exist in currently biology experiments teaching in high school:Firstly, most of the practical experiments are not carried out in the laboratory, instead, biology teachers teach and exercise them. Secondly, there are significant differences between Arts and Science Students in biology experiment teaching. The situation of experiment course for optional biological science students is obviously better than liberal arts majors. Thirdly, the written examination takes such a strong effect that it is difficult to fully implement the conception of "improving students biological science accomplishment". Fourthly, biology teachers are not generally good at biology experimental skills, so that it is difficult to carry out exploratory experiments. Based on these findings, the author combines video experimental teaching with guiding model of academic case, and developed a teaching video for teachers and students. Through the development of standardized experimental teaching video, we can on one hand, solve the problem of imperfect laboratory construction and different teaching levels which lead to the failure to carry out experiment teaching in some schools, On the other hand, entitle students to exposure to the most intuitive process of biological experiments in limited time, aiming to improve the quality of learning, enhance interest in biology learning, and enhance scientific literacy. At the same time, biology teachers can also further regulate their own experimental teaching skills by watching the videos.
