The promotion of national basic education curriculum reform requires the educational concept of biological education shift to the development-of-student-centered concept, thus enhancing students'awareness of active participation and self-learning and also the spirit of active exploration and innovation. Developing the middle-school students'ability to solve biological problems is an effective way of achieving such a goal.Knowledge of high school genetics biology itself requires students to have an appropriate variety of qualities so as to address effectively the learning difficulties encountered in the learning process, and to remove obstacles to master the knowledge of genetics. This paper combining the present high school biology teaching practice of biology, tries to analyse domestic and foreign problem-solving instruction model based on high school students'genetic biology problem-solving ability and helps to develop current high school students the ability to solve the problem of genetic status. The paper is divided into five parts. Part I:the analysis of the problem solving context and current situation, to clarify the significance of the study. PartⅡ:the problem, problem solving, problem solving analysis of the concept according to layers; from constructivist theory, metacognitive theory, teaching theory, theory of multiple intelligences perspective of the theoretical basis of this issue. PartⅢ: analysis of genetic structure of knowledge in high school constitutes a genetic problem solving, problem-solving model to clarify the genetic and the genetic problem-solving strategy, design, problem solving ability of the test evaluation. PartⅣ: High school students are introduced genetic experiment to develop problem solving research process, research methods, presents the research results, and results were analyzed. PartⅤ: The high school biology genetic problem solving ability are summarized and are given in reflection.The results show that in the problem solving process of teaching, students receiving timely guidance and assistance of teachers and students, especially in the middle group and low group the students would get more help. Teachers in guiding students to explore the process, targeted to give inspiration, tips, remedies, to teach students in the operation of the adoption and use of information, will facilitate the development of student problem solving ability. Cognitive structure of students in the gradual improvement in teaching makes the biological problems resolved smoothly, thus gradually increasing the ability to solve problems.
