As chinese traditional virtue, thrifty has been recognized and appreciated by people from Zhou Dynasty to the period of reform and opening up. However, with the pace of reform and opening-up has been accelerating, thrifty has been discarded by more and more people because of policy to encourage the consumption,abandoned the Traditional frugality values and the offensive of mass media, where tremendous hope is placed, do not preserve their own moral integrity, it's not only on pursuit of interest but also on the expension of building scales,school becomes the tool to meet the needs of the desire.Schoolyards have become the waste area,not only on learning resource,but also on life resource.Students have become the main group of irrational consumption,and there have been some imitation and Comparisons of consumption, the quality of thrifty is missing, this hampers their progress, and also brings students around the adverse effects.However, the significance of the Contemporary values of thrifty education can not be ignored, to some extent, thrifty education can restrain the overspread of irrational consumption reduce the heavy pressure of resource and environment,narrow the gap between rich and poor and help people find the meaning and happiness of life.So no matter it is for the sake of saving the seriously endangered ecological environment or for the sake of saving the human beings, the education should re-evaluate the value of thrifty, and put the frugality education into practice.Therefore, adjusting the value orientation of school's activily,exploring the effective and reasonable path of thrifty education and advocating thrifty consumption should become the duty -bound of the current schools.
