| The culture of the Qiang ethnic minority is a treasure of the splendid culture in our Chinese nation. It fills with varieties and consists of the Qiang cultural deposits and distinct nation characteristics. The traditional sport of Qiang is a very important component in its culture; it formed and developed through hundreds of thousands of history progress. There is a value that cannot underestimate in the aspect of building up the people's health, promoting national unity, enhancing the national self-confidence, and enriching massive cultural lives. On May 12, 2008, the Wenchuan earthquake brings a huge disaster to the Qiang minority, with its material culture and non-material culture. The turnip village, at the epicenter of the quake, was badly damaged. All houses were collapsed, and many people were killed. The traditional sports environment was ruined. This article studies the traditional sport in the turnip village through the literature material method, field observation, expert interview, questionnaire and logic analysis, and through various channels, and related information, surveying before and after the earthquake Qiang traditional sports activities'situation, inheritors'status, people's participation and the cognition of the traditional sports, etc. In addition, according to some individual problems, l interviewed representative scholars and experts. The relevant materials of this research are through various forms of investigation and interviews, in order to ensure the objectivity and scientific research.This paper investigated the specific condition of the traditional sports which developed much better in Wenchuan turnip village, the results showed that the Qiang's traditional sports which carried out in Wenchuan turnip village activities mainly relied on cultural tourism, religious belief and folk festival, and these fully embody the Qiang's traditional sports'leisure entertainment; With self-organized folk organizations as major way to hold sports activities, fully show the characteristics of the villagers'religious beliefs and conforming to folk customs. Part of the villagers thinks these traditional sports changing the forms and rules, but just a little. Further study found that Qiang's traditional sports development status has both its inner and outer factors and causes, and its main external factor is the earthquake, followed are religion and the value degree of the government functional departments; In addition, the level of economic development, modern sports, people's life style, school sports, and the development of MEDALS in different extent affect the development of the turnip village's traditional sports activities. After fully considered various factors, we put forward some feasible countermeasures and suggestions as follows: Boost the positivity and initiative of villagers, appreciating the inheritance while innovation; Develop an industry which take vacation, travelling as the main road in Qiang's traditions sports; Preserve as a tangible form; Expand the scale of the performance groups and develop them as an industry; Take full advantage of the school education function, realizing the fusion of the mass sports; Bring Qiang's traditional sports into the overall plan of the post-disaster reconstruction; Further studying, sorting and promotion the turnip village's new traditional sports; Take earthquakes as a turning point, reasonably using the facilitative of religious, referring to the experience of the modern sports development, in order to promote a better development of Qiang traditional sports in the continuous, healthy and steady way in Wenchuan county. |
