The qiang people’s traditional sports is the flower of thenational minority sports culture of China. It has rich content and deep nationalcultural heritage and the bright characteristics of qiang people in various forms.The qiang people’s traditional sports play the important role in the culture ofQiang. It experiences the baptism and forging of several thousand social processand formats and develops the qiang people’s traditional culture. On May12th,2008Wenchuan earthquake brought the qiang people the great disaster anddevastatly blow the qiang people’s traditional sports. TaoPingQiangZhai, whichlies in the epicenter, was destoried badly. People, architecture, production andlife were affected badly. The geographical environment and humanities thetraditional sports of Qiang Survives in was destoried badly too. This paperresearches the traditional sports of Tao Ping Qiang Zhai after the earthquake byliterature data method，field survey method and interview method. Collectingconnect information by many ways to surveye the transmission and save andprotect of the traditional sports of Tao Ping Qiang Zhai after the earthquake.Through on-the-spot investigation, the qiang people’s traditional sportsdevelop, depending on the folk festivals, tourism and religious belief, of whichQiang Zhai tourism is the main form. It embodies the leisure entertainment ofthe qiang people’s traditional sports. The inheritance ways of folk festivals andthe qiang people’s religious beliefs fully show the characteristics of religiousbeliefs of participation in traditional sports and regional folk customs. After theearthquake, some people think that the shape of the qiang people’s traditionalsports development organization has changed greatly compared to the past.Researches found that after the earthquake, the qiang people’s traditional sportsrestriction factors mainly brought about natural geographical environmentdestruction and the loss of population by the earthquake. The change of eramading the qiang languages and Religious practices disappear and the care fromthe government affect the development of the traditional sports of Tao PingQiang Zhai in different degrees.Through the research suggestions are as follows:1.The qiang people’straditional sports of TaoPingQiangZhai should be included in the plan of thepost-disaster reconstruction, which can enhance the qiang people’s traditionalculture identity and self responsibility.2. The government should increase theinvestment to guarantee the qiang people’s economic income and improve the life level and provide necessary administrative interference and guarantee for theqiang people’s traditional sports.3. Try to develop the tourism function of theqiang people’s traditional sports after the earthquake to promote culturalinheritance and improve the consciousness of the qiang people’s traditionalculture and tourism development.4. Increase the collection of the qiang people’straditional sports and the theory instruction to promote the harmoniousdevelopment of the project.5. We should try to reasonablely mitigate the burdenof buying a house, which is able to ensure that people focus on the qiang people’straditional culture protection after the earthquake.6. Go the tourism way by thedirection of the qiang people’s traditional sports. Try to seize the opportunitiesbrought by the earthquake and drive the qiang people’s traditional culturalheritage protection through the link of tourism so as to promote the developmentof the qiang people’s traditional sports culture.
