Instructors play a key role in the ideological and political education of university students and serve as a director for students' healthy development. They are an important part of the teaching and management staffs of a university. The construction of professionalization of college instructors will help to reinforce and improve the ideological and political education and maintain the stabilization of colleges. It is of great significance and far-reaching influence in fully implementing the Party's educational policy and carrying out the task of ideological and political education of university students.In recent years, the construction of college instructors team has been given great attention by the Central Government. Many colleges have adopted a series of effective measures to strengthen and improve the construction of college instructors team and achieved some success, but according to the reality, problems like unclear job orientation, incomplete system, indefinite future and irrational distribution policy still exist, which make the professionalism process of this team slow and backward. Therefore, in this new situation, there is an urgent need to further strengthen the professionalism construction of college instructors team.This paper uses the ideological and political education methodology, ideological and political education carrier theory, career development theory, career management theory, and combines with the practical situation of college instructors. Through reading the literature, visiting historical experience, comparing college student affairs at home and abroad, surveying and interviewing students, college instructors and student management staffs, the author in-depth studies on the construction of college instructors' professionalization and has obtained sufficient first-hand information. The respondents of this paper are college instructors from the seven universities in Wuhan—Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, Wuhan University of Technology, China University of Geosciences, Huazhong Agricultural University, Central China Normal University, Zhongnan University of Economics & Law, which are directly under the Ministry of Education in China. Altogether 700 questionnaires have been issued, recovered by 630 valid questionnaires, the effectiveness rate of recovery is 0.9.Through analyzing, the author sums up the main problems in the the current construction of college instructors' professionalization. these problems include the lack of unified recognition, effective carrier and perfect mechanism, also, lack of a high degree of specialization of college instructors The main influence factors concern policy, family, college, society and personal factors. Combining the management experience of foreign student affairs with the research and interview results, the thesis puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures from four aspects:unify recognition for the professionalism of college instructors, search for carrier, optimize the structure of college instructor team and establish a sound system of professionalism of college instructors.
