Our country has entered an aged society in 2000. As the population aging is prominent day after day, it will have significant influence on every part of society. The study of the senior citizens' problems is continuously developing and is the symbol of progress of our society.Humans' residential conditions are intertwined with their lives, and influenced by their physical and psychological features. To the senior citizens, with the gradual decrease of physical mechanism, they will depend on the residential conditions more than ever. The study of the senior citizens'residential conditions is helpful to the development of the gerontology. Also, it is helpful to the government to formulate policies. At the same time, it embodies our traditional culture of respecting the senior citizens.This paper starts with some social surveys. Through consulting the characteristics of physiology and psychology of the senior citizens, the paper discusses the senior citizens' residence will in cities of Jiangsu province with the view of Sociology, and gives some suggestions on how to solve these problems. Specifically, the paper is divided into five parts. The first part is preface. The study background and significances, the study methods and so on are presented in part one. The second part is based on the analysis of the questionnaire data, and describes the senior citizens' residence will in cities of Jiangsu province. The third section analyzes the senior citizens' needs and problems of residential conditions. The fourth part gives some suggestions on how to solve these problems. These countermeasures are combined with the actual situation of our country and built on successful experience of foreign countries. Part five is the conclusion and to think. The whole paper is summarized in it, and the outlook is put forward in this part.
