Nowadays, Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) has been popular in the field of foreign language teaching and learning in China. Since the Ministry of Education issued the new edition of the Criterion of English Course, which emphasized the importance of developing the abilities of using the language of the students by demonstrating the chain of activities about various tasks, and also listed the abilities of using the language into the suggestions of teaching and learning, TBLT has been more popular. Therefore, using the TBLT to improve the senior high school students'reading comprehension is of great significance, especially to the kind of our school, one equipped with rather backward equipment.This research mainly through quantitative and qualitative research experiment method with related data, interview records, various afterward teaching reflection and t data contras of testing results, analyzed the process of how TBLT can be used in the concrete implementation of high school English reading classroom, the key to which is to enhance English reading comprehension of exploration and research. And the findings are mainly as follows.1. TBLT can improve the effect of the teaching of reading class.2. TBLT can improve students'interest of reading, raise their good reading habits, and enhance students' sense of cooperation, independent thinking and problem-solving skills together with the confidence of reading.3. TBLT can effectively improve the students' reading comprehension level.4. TBLT can help teachers know more about their roles, having a positive impact on their understanding of the new curriculum standard.Research shows that, the practice of TBLT in the teaching of reading class is feasible, effective and worthy to be popularized. It is hoped that this research can offer some help to the more rapid and effective development of English teaching in the senior high schools, making it better for English learning and teaching to improve.
