The Supply Mechanism And Its Selections Of Private Higher Education

With the popularization of higher education from elite to mass, the private higher education has become an important part of higher education gradually. Effective supply of private higher education opportunities is not only very important to the survival and development of the private higher education, but also a key issue to enhance the balanced development of higher education. With the reform of higher education system in China, market environments and policy environments in the supply of the private higher education are constantly changing and updating. In order to achieve effective supply of the private higher education, it is a key issue that we should construct a private higher education supply mechanism with the integration of the advantages of market supply mechanism and government supply mechanism.Five sections are dealt with in this thesis, which make a comprehensive analysis and study of the market mechanism and government mechanism and their rational selections in the supply of the private higher education. The first chapter Introduction mainly dealt with the practical background, related concept definitions, the current situations, significance, the ideas and methodologies of this research. Chapter Two is the research of the related theories. In order to provide the theoretical basis of the supply mechanism of private higher education, we discussed the nature, the influence factors and the types of the supply of the private higher education. Chapter Three and Chapter Four mainly provided the theoretical and practical foundations to improve the supply mechanism of private higher education from the aspects of market and government. In these two chapters, we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the supply market mechanism from the power, conditions, forms and market failures and so on;we also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the supply government mechanism from the power, necessities, functions, forms and government failures and so on. To achieve the effective supply of private higher education, in the last chapter we select and construct a rational supply mechanism in repositioning the roles of government and market.
