A Study Of Teacher Recruitment Practices In SIS International School

International schools and the concept of aninternational educationare a relatively new phenomenon,but their growth is almost unparalleledby any other service industry．This study was focusing on recruitmentpractices among the international schools,given that international schoolsare unique in their own way of hiring teachers．The purpose of this studywas t0 examine the current recruiting practices in SIS international schooland SO as to provide recommendations for improving its recruitmentpractices．First,literature about recruitment theory and a summary ofcomprehensive knowledge about international schools recruitment practices were developed．Then,a survey research design was used toinvestigate the teacher hiring practices in SIS,data were gathered from SIS newly hired teachers．Data analysis produced the major findings of thisstudy:(1)the necessity of setting up effective recruiting team,(2)problems with the double hiring contracts system,(3)short of standard hiring procedures,(4)lack of effective induction program for the newly hired．Based on the analysis,this paperp rovided specific suggestions regarding a reas of improvement for SIS international school·...
