In recent years,the international education has been more and more strongly demanded by Chinese parents.Along side ofthe constant doubts withexam-oriented education,people have gradually moved their attention on toschools within the international educational system.However,while these international schools have become the ideal target for more and more people to meet,the recruitment for qualified teachers has become the common problem for many schools.This research aims to look at Dongji International School as an example,to study and analyze its recruitment system and to provide the safeguard measures accordingly.Firstly,the research introduces the industrial features,then uses Maslow's hierarchy of needs and theory of expecting as its theoretical basis,to make a general introduction from the following 5 perspectives:the study of human resources development plan;the study of human resources requirement;the study of the recruitment team,the study of international school recruitment.This researchanalyzes the development trend of Dongji International School in recent years,as well as its administration structure,teachers composition,teacher to student ratio,etc.In addition,the study intensively analyzes the recruitment channels and roles they play in the school.The major findings in this research are that the foreign teachers turnover rate is high,only Principals in charge of recruitment,lacking standard the recruitment procedure or teacher induction system,etc.For the above problems,this research has developed a recruitment plan focusing on foreign teachers.Dongji International School recruitment plan consists of 4 phases: recruiting;selecting;hiring;and,evaluating.The first phase,recruiting,consists of 4 stages: developing a recruitment plan to meet school's vision;clarifying rights and duties in the recruitment process and setting up a recruitment team;producing recruitment procedures;and,choosing the suitable recruiting channels.Theselecting phase is consists oftwo parts: making an interview plan and its implementation plan.The hiring phase consists of: hiring procedure and process.The fourth consists of: the evaluation of the recruiting plan,including statistics of applicants number,the recruitment expenses and the source of excellent applicants,also recruitment plan quality evaluation composited by the satisfaction survey,job evaluation and recruitment summary of the new recruited teachers.To make sure the recruitment plan runs smoothly,this research also designed the safeguard measurements from the following aspects.First,recruitment team safeguarding,we need to standardize the process,and reinforce the recruitment training to the team,specifying the rights and duties.Secondly,recruitment channel safeguarding,continually broaden the recruitment network for American teachers,invest on the recruitment network for British,Australian and Canadian teachers.Last,setting up a candidate pool to ensure we have enough candidates to select.International school education,as a new thing,has received the remarkable attention from the first day.This research aims to propose my reference suggestions on Dongji International School recruitment plans and strategies for foreign teachers and accelerate the holistic foreignas recruitment development.
