Application Of Project Management In College Student Management

With the advance of China's comprehensive reform of higher education, higher education has been rapidly development and college student work also entered a new stage of development. Especially the promulgation of "CPC Central Committee and State Council on further strengthening and transformation of the views of ideological and political education" (Zhong Fa [2004] 16) provided new challenges to the management of student work. However, the current status quo of China's college students manage is difficult to meet the requirements of the future development of today's college students and the school. Besides the premise of ensuring the effectiveness of education, how to get out of the traditional management paradigm, to become more efficient and scientific management and services has become a pressing issue.By contrasting to advanced management concepts and methods in enterprises, the university management should learn from the experience of business success. University management should also be innovative, be transacted out of the state which is busy all the time, and be appropriately analyzed, summarized and be implemented scientific management. Many success of enterprise management came from the application of project management. Project management has currently been widely used in management field around the world and achieved remarkable results, but seldom applied to the study of college student management.This paper attempts to apply the project management to the management of university students. By using the literature review and summary of the actual case study methods, the author analyzes the problems and causes in the management of college students, and uses specific management issues to explore the project management for college students management philosophy and practice models in order to improve the college student management level and core competitiveness, and to promote sustained and healthy development and virtuous cycle of China's education.The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the Introduction, the analysis of college students in the management of social background, is the introduction of meaning of the study. At the same time the analysis the development process of management of domestic and foreign college students lays the foundation for the further study. The second chapter is about the college student management and project management. The definitions of the core concept of the paper are involved, China's achievements of college student management are summarized, and the new era in the challenge of the college student management is analyzed. Also there are study of the characteristics of project management and the feasibility study of conducting into project management into university student management. Chapter III, Chapter IV are trying to apply project management concepts, methods, made concrete and feasible measures to the management of college students in managing the student activities, student emergency. Chapter V is the conclusion.It can be proved that applying project management to the management of college students is feasible and effective.
