In preschool age, children went into class group from the family and started their interaction each other stably and continuously. Companions, who played an important role that adults cannot substitute, gradually became children's significant others. Preschool children's peer relationship was of consequence to children's development of individuality and society.Children's peer relationship mainly included affinitive behaviors, pro-social behaviors and aggressive behaviors. Through Children's exchanging these behaviors with their companions, their social network formed. Fujisawa said, children's social network had two types, positive network and negative network. Positive network chiefly included affinitive behaviors and pro-social behaviors; negative network was mostly aggressive behaviors. This text was to research 3-5 year old children's performance and difference in peer relationship network. The study objects were children from a primary class and a middle class in one of public kindergartens in Taiyuan city. Videos individually of all objects were taken during one month's study. The research firstly coded the datas according to coding standards of affinitive behaviors, pro-social behaviors and aggressive behaviors, then extracted common factors of behaviors by exploratory factor analysis, after that conducted difference tests about positive and negative behaviors as well as genders using method of SPSS15.0. To further study structures and characters of children's positive and negative behaviors, the study analyzed intensity and cliques of peer relation in primary and middle classes by Ucinet6.0. The difference between this research and previous ones was that mutuality in peer relationship is investigated as well and the behavior directions were also showed on network graph. The achievements of the study showed:1. Positive and negative network existed in 3-and 4-year-olds' children's peer relationship.2. In the network, children in the class of 4-year-olds behaved more positive than those in the class of 3-year-olds. Meanwhile, positive behaviors were more than negative behaviors in the class of 4-year-olds, but there was not obvious variance in the class of 3-year-olds.3. In positive network in the class of 4-year-olds, girl-girl couple were more than boy-boy couple and boy-girl couple. That was, girls were easier to get positive relationship. And both in positive and negative networks, girl-girl couples were more than boy-boy couple and boy-girl couple. It showed gender affects relationship among the preschool children.4. For the class of 4-year-olds, positive relationship was tighter than negative one. But for the class of 3-year-olds the difference was tiny both in positive and negative networks, possibility of girl-girl couple was more than that of boy-boy couple and boy-girl couple. Compared with 3-year-old children,4-year-old children formed cliques more frequently in positive relationship than in negative relationship.5.In relationship network in the class of 4-year-olds, children behaving more(positive behaviors and negative behaviors), gained more possibilities of responses. They related significantly...
