In the new era of knowledge-based economy and globalization, the earth has become a global village. On account of the quickening pace of knowledge and technology, competition goes increasingly fierce in all walks of life, diversifying the social needs. Faced with various complex situations, it is difficult for us to deal with those problems on our own. We need to form a community, in which the members depend on each other and corporate well. Establishing a good corporative team makes for handling different problems and at the same time, working wonders by relying on the teamwork. In a word, corporation plays more and more role in daily lives.Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform, a great number of teachers have had a lot of exploration about how to carry out cooperative learning in the classroom teaching, and have accumulated a lot of experience in practice. However, there are still a lot of problems in cooperative learning. Therefore, on basis of the reality of the implementation of cooperative learning, the author reflects on the problems raised in the past researches. The author does some researches in how to apply cooperative learning strategy to English learning in middle school through controlled trial in two classes of senior one in KunShan Middle School.This essay can mainly be divided into five parts. In the preface, the author puts forward the question, illustrating the basic framework and research methods briefly. Chapter one discusses the theoretical foundation, including the differences between cooperative learning model and traditional model, types of cooperative learning model both and home and abroad and evaluation of cooperation as well. Chapter two analyses the problems in the existing cooperation and raises some solutions to them. In chapter three, the author gives some examples of cooperative learning based on Oxford English of Senior School. Meanwhile, the author does an experiment in her school. In this chapter she comes to the result and also analyzes it. At the last chapter, the author draws a conclusion and gives thoughts to the cooperative learning model carried out.
