John Dewey is one of the most famous educators in 20th century. After then, about a hundred years, experts and scholars have done a lot of researches, but these studies remain in the basic level, and John Dewey's theory of wisdom have not been seen. Actually, to some extent Dewey's educational theory was developed around wisdom. He viewed wisdom training as the object of his curriculum theory. This paper will focus on this aspect. According to the requirement of text hermeneutics, the author will analyze Dewey's writings, try to get the essence of his ideas, sort out the curriculum theory about wisdom training. In order to find out the current situation of vocational education curriculum, the paper will provide a survey, and then discuss the practical significance of Dewey's idea, and give a new understanding of wisdom training at practical aspect.
