Xunzi is a famous philosopher and educationist at the end of the Warring States. His ideas of educational philosophy incorporated the strengths of the pre-Qin ideas. Xunzi, in his long-term educational practice and the experience in Jixia Academy, has accumulated a wealth of teaching experience, and integration of various home thinking to form his own unique thinking on philosophy of education. His ideas occupy a very important position in the history of philosophy and education in ancient China. Xunzi, using the "heaven-human distinction" and the "theory of evil human nature" as the theoretical basis of his philosophy of education, clarified the important role of education in social development. He stressed that education can act as a role to turn the inborn wicked nature into a kind one, and thought of it as the purpose of education. Xunzi's view is that the aim of education is to develop the "scholar", "gentleman" and "saints" and being a saint is the supreme goal of education. Xunzi treated "ritual" as the core of education. Xunzi also proposed a variety of teaching methods. Based on the above thoughts, Xunzi constructed a relative system and integrity theory of his philosophy of education. At the back of this system, it contains the actual demands to accomplish the goal of educating civilize people and the blueprint of great-unity royal politics. It is benefit to study this kind of problems for understanding the theory system of the philosophy of education of Xunzi.
