The Research Of Present Situation And Development Strategic For Long-distance Education Of Farmers In Jilin Province

China is an agricultural country and it has nearly three-quarters rural population. Issues of agriculture,farmer and rural area is the key of the development of the country. We can get the task and standards of building a new socialist countryside in"CPC central committee of the state council on promoting the construction of new socialist countryside some Suggestions". It has brought new opportunities and challenges to long-distance education in rural areas because of building a new socialist countryside. To transform teaching concepts, deepen teaching reform and improve the quality of culture of science and technology of the farmer has become our priority.At information age, the development of agriculture should rely on science, technology and information. Compared to traditional education, the modern distance education has enormous superiority. For example,it makes learners study anytime and anyplace, cost low price, uses diversity of teaching methods, and so on. To promote distance education in the countryside is a kind of low investment but high returns means of education in developing country with a large number of rural population.This paper is based on the project which the action research of media quality education of farmer audiences in Jilin province and using questionnaire survey and interview to collect data. The article analyses the development of distance education in domestic and foreign, states the existing resources of distance education in the countryside of Jilin province and lists the main source of information .the paper also states the effect on farmer audiences and makes a case study about Shuangyang district. With the help of learning theory, adult education theory and mass media theory, the author puts forward feasibility suggestion and countermeasure.
