The new curriculum reform emphasizes on the cultivation of students'higher order thinking skills. The relevant theoretical studies have shown that in the curriculum learning, the effective development of higher order thinking skills needs information technology to build appropriate learning environment, and this view has been confirmed in practice. With the development of computer network and virtual reality technology, virtual experiments with its unique advantages are increasingly being used in the teaching of biological experiments.Aiming at the cultivation of students'higher order thinking skills, this thesis analyzes the formation, influencing factors and environmental factors of the high order thinking skills in biological experiments, and studied the characteristics of different types of high school biology experiments and the learning features of high school students, based on the high order thinking skills and the developing theory. Then, according to the characteristics and the needs of the cultivation, this thesis proposes the design strategy, and the models of virtual experiment which include case studies, experiment basis, design, implementation, and summary etc. Finally, complete the case design with the mapping results of high order thinking skills in biological experiments as the guidance. It is trying to illustrate the ideas and methods of the infiltration of high order thinking skills in the experimental teaching design and the implementation process. We hope that this research could provide beneficial thinking and reference for biology teachers. In order to inspect the application effects, the developed virtual experiments are applied to the practical teaching, for empirical research.Through the questionnaire survey, it is found that the prospects of virtual experiments and the convenience to experimental teaching are recognized by the majority of the student. The students really enjoy the high order thinking skills training oriented virtual experiments, and are willing to follow the experimental procedures in accordance with the established scientific experiment. But for the issues of equipment and experiment development technology etc., students'initiative of doing virtual experimental is not high.The research methods include literature research, interviews method, content analysis, empirical research method and survey method.Finally, a summary of this study is made from two respects: the contributions and the shortages, based on the research data and the results of analysis; and the opinion on the future research is also put forward in the end of the thesis.
