Since homeschooling has risen in America so far, it has developed from marginalization in the initial to legalization of current, homeschooling has gain government's support and public's recognition increasingly after decades of development. Whether in educational philosophy or in the specific practice, homeschooling has been maturing day by day. As a form of educational choice recognized by the public, homeschooling in America has caused much concern all around the world.In view of different interest groups has an important influence and interaction on homeschooling, the country studies method in perspective of Comparative Education Research was used in this paper, through the theoretical basis,development process,members'characteristics and selection reasons,implementation means,the effects of different interests and other aspect ,the homeschooling in America has been described and analyzed, it may be helpful to deepen the understanding the influence of the interest groups on homeschooling; it also can enhances parents'awareness in education and clear the right to education; in further, it can help us explore and reflect a range of issues in homeschooling and the education reform, above all ,it can help us to work to play the role of education and homeschooling better and together.There are introduction, five parts of the body and the conclusion in this paper.In the introduction, starting from the literature, it overview the origins of writing,the value,significance and methods of research, to define related concepts, and to discuss mainly on existing literature and related research.In the first part, the paper expounds the theory basis of homeschooling in America systematically. Among them, Friedman's neo-liberal view on education,Paul Goodman's thought on free schooling,Ivan Tillich's'non-school society'ideology,the counter-cultural thoughts represented by John Holt,the religious right-wing ideology represented by Raymond Moore laid a solid theoretical basis for the emergence and development of homeschooling in America.In the second part, it introduces the historical process of homeschooling. Combined with the development of homeschooling and the method of historical analysis, it begin to review briefly and analyze respectively from the debate stage of initial development,the cooperation stage of beginning development, the consolidation phase in rapid development.In the third part, this paper tried to analyze the different interest groups who are in favor of the homeschooling, using some relevant data and charts to demonstrate it in two aspects of members'characteristics and selection reasons for homeschooling.In the fourth part, the paper demonstrate the teaching form,methods,resources, teachers certification and teaching effectiveness and etc. to recite the specific practice and implementation way.In the fifth part, to select parents and students, public schools, government and policy, different civil groups and society organizations as a typical representative of different interest groups, and further discussing the profound impact of interest groups on homeschooling in America.In the last part, the paper analyzes the overall content and summarizes the conclusions of this study.
