Cooperative Learning is a strategic system which promotes the development of cooperation consciousness and skills and improves cognitive level of all the students to the greatest possible degree. It focuses on adopting heterogeneous group as the main form of teaching activities and group achievments as the main form of teaching evaluation so as to motivating more interaction between students and students.Implementing cooperative learning at secondary vocational school enables students to increase opportunities for the students to participate in classroom activities, develop their language skills comprehensively and really play the most important role in the class. In the process of implementing cooperative learning, students develop a positive emotional attitude, cultivate their awareness of equality and improve their communicative and creative abilities.The research was to explore the combination of cooperative learning with oral English teaching in classes of secondary vocational schools so as to find a new mode of oral English teaching. By analysis of the status of oral English teaching at secondary vocational schools, the writer suggested an appropriate application of cooperative learning to the teaching of oral English aiming at improving the students'oral English communication skills and meeting their personal needs and social needs.In the research process,we chose the students of the first year study in JiLin secondary vocational schools as the subjects using a combination of questionnaire and interview methods. An effective and easy-to-operate cooperative learning model for nursing oral English class teaching has been constructed; a cooperative learning instruction and evaluation strategy has been established. The following conclusions have been reached:①Adoption of cooperative learning can effectively increase the opportunities of speaking , consequently, promote the students' communication level and skills of oral English in classes of secondary vocational school;②Application of cooperative learning can effectively stimulate students' learning motive;③Application of cooperative learning can effectively improve emotional attitude.④Application of cooperative can effectively promote students' cooperation consciousness and cooperation skill level at the same time.
