The Study Of The Primary School's Chinese Characters Textbooks

With the implementation of the Full-time compulsory education of Chinese curriculum standards(experiment), Chinese textbooks flourished rapidly. Among them, the elementary Chinese characters textbooks published by People's Education Press, Beijing Normal University Press and Jiangsu Education Press which based on"curriculum standards"affected the country greatly.The teaching of Chinese characters is the base of the primary Chinese teaching. The learning of Chinese characters affects the quality of Chinese learning and the result of other subjects' teaching . Therefore, a Chinese characters textbook is important as a basic part of Chinese teaching and learning. Which Chinese characters should to learn, how to compile Chinese characters, Hanyu Pinyin and exercises, how to deal with learning Chinese characters and writing, learning and reading, should be resolved in the study of Chinese characters textbooks. From the historical perspective, there were only a few specialized study of Chinese characters textbooks,and most of them researched the quantity and teaching methods of Chinese characters. Based on the curriculum standards, this paper trys to do a comprehensive study on the compilation of the primary Chinese characters textbooks with the comparison of three representative editions.From the study of the compilation of concept, the structure and the design of Chinese characters' teaching and learning, this paper introduces the characteristics of the three editions of Chinese characters textbooks, trying to find out the same and different points through the analysis of the data and material, such as "to read", "to write". It provides the theoretical and practical foundation for the selection of the species and quantity of Chinese characters, the arrangement of Hanyu Pinyin and the design of teaching methods and exercises of Chinese characters textbooks. Based on the comparison of three editions, this paper makes some suggestions of how to compile the Chinese characters textbooks, and hopes to make the system of the primary Chinese characters textbooks more scientific and reasonable.
