Classroom observation is a research way which is aimed at the classes during which observers can make some researches with certain purposes, and the researches are based on the collected information by means of their own sense organs and some auxiliary tools. Classroom observers can evaluate the class and make researches about teachers and students from different dimensions and different angles of views on the basis of quantitive and qualitative data collected in class.According to the current situation of our school--- the shortage of biology teachers in our school, the relative lack of classroom observation about the practical ways and effectiveness of biology teaching in high school, we conducted the survey by using the documentary research, case study and action research. Through the development of classroom observation from all the members of teaching group, the whole group members and 3 objects of study have constructed a series of practical activities of observations in group, self-observation and observations about students, significantly increasing the comprehensive ability of students to master and apply the biological knowledge. Such activities have improved the efficiency of biology teaching and promoted the development of teachers' profession. As such, we have made so great progress in class observation that Students' interest in biology has been inspired, the whole biology scores have been raised and the comprehensive ability of teaching and researching has been improved.
