The Correlation Research On Self-esteem And Social Support Between Ordinary College Students And Deaf College Students

Purposes : (1)To explore self-esteem development characteristics of college students;(2)To explore the status of college students' social support;(3)To explore the correlation on social support and self-esteem of college students;(4)To explore the similarities and differences on self-esteem and social support between ordinary college students and deaf college students.Methods:The sample contained 280 students taken from some university of Henan , which consisted of 190 ordinary students and 90 deaf students ,that both from grade one to grade three;SES made by Rosenberg in 1965 and SSRS made by Xiao Shuiyuan were used to date evaluation,and the data were obtained through group testing;We got 267 valid questionnaires in total ,with the rate up to 96.3%;After we made a basic count on the data, we used Correlation analysis and Regression analysis to explore the correlation on social support and self-esteem between ordinary college students and deaf college students.Results:(1)Ordinary college students have a higher average level of self-esteem than that of deaf college students;(2)Ordinary college students have a higher average level of social support than that of deaf college students;(3)The correlation on social support and self-esteem of ordinary college students is significant;(4)The correlation on social support and self-esteem of deaf college students is significant.
