The pursuit of effectiveness, is one basic demand of teaching. The effectivenessof teaching is an important issue for teachers. Under the new curriculum, each teacheris still faced with teaching inefficient, invalid problem. In the new background, howto achieve effective teaching and how to effectively promote the development ofstudents, which teachers must carefully face and consider.In this study, junior secondary geography teaching is research object, the newgeography curriculum theory, modern learning theory and modern teaching theory arethe guide, I try to explore how to implement effectiveness of geography teaching injunior high school under the new curriculum. First, try to understand the teaching,effectiveness, to understand what is effective teaching, what kind of teaching iseffective geography teaching. Then, propose a strategy from the perspective ofteachers'teaching for subject characteristics of geography, in order to provideeducational information to teachers to promote the improvement of the effectivenessof junior high school geography teaching.Paper includes three parts, an introduction, body and conclusion, of which bodypart is the research center.Introduction is brief part, including of the main background, problems,significance, content, and methods to the study.Body part is divided into four parts. Firstly, effective teaching and geographyeffective teaching are collated and summarized, to find the starting point and the endresult of this study. Secondly, learning theory and teaching theory are ordered, seekingthe theoretical basis of teaching effectiveness to improve the effectiveness ofgeography teaching in junior high school. Thirdly, for the content of China geographyof junior high school, putting forward the main teaching strategies from theperspective of geography - based on the teaching strategies of integration ofgeography content, based on teaching strategies of acquiring geography knowledge,teaching strategies of acquiring geography ability, teaching strategies of the formationof the point of geographical view. Then, putting forward secondary teaching strategiesfrom the perspective of educational psychology - the creation of good conditions forlearning, training of learning motivation, the implementation of the effect of teachers'expectancy. Finally, proposing teachers should conduct the teaching research.In the part of conclusion, the author summarizes some discovery and experiencein the the process of writing papers.
