Junior Geography experimental teaching is a kind of intuitional and image teaching methodology. It is beneficial to show geographic phenomena and geographic process. Junior Geography experimental teaching can develop students’many kinds of geographical knowledge by allowing students to operate with their own hands, observation and analysis, conclusion. It can help to develop the students’ ability to observe, improve operating ability, enhance the students’ imagination and thinking skills, exercise students’ geography methods and develop students’ attitudes and values. Junior Geography experimental teaching is an efficient way to cultivate students’geography ability. The author combined junior geography experimental teaching with geographic capacity, and studied the function of junior geography experimental teaching culturing students’geographic capacity.The author does some research on the following aspects:The first part is an introduction. Explained the significance of the selected topic, analysis of related research at home and abroad, building the technical route of the study, some innovation.The second part is theory analysis and the definition. Explored the theoretical basis of the study, such as Bruner’s cognitive discovery theory, Dewey’s "learning by doing" ideology,Tao "Six liberations " ideology, constructivist learning theory and multiple intelligence theory. Defined the meaning of geographic capacity and its geographical composition and explained the meaning of experimental teaching of geographyThe third part is junior geography study of the experimental teaching content. Explained the consist of junior geography experimental teaching, analyzed its contents and obtained the six basic characteristics of junior geography experimental teaching content, that is, scientific, diversity, participation, relevance, feasibility and exploratory.The fourth part is the study of junior geography experimental teaching culturing students’geographic capacity. Analyzed the capacity-building from the knowledge, skills, intelligence, method and emotion, attitude and values, and proposed the characteristics of junior geography experimental teaching culturing students’geographic capacity, that is, realistic, practical, creative and life-long.The fifth part is empirical study. Selected the two classes, an experimental class, a contrast to the class. Through the comparison of two classes test scores, junior geography experimental teaching plays an important role of students’ geographic capacity.The sixth part is the conclusion. Summarized the main point of this study.
