Ditranstive construction is a common construction in English grammar, which has been universally studied by scholars at home and abroad. By reviewing studies that have been conducted on construction and English ditransitive construction, grounded on the Construction Grammar, this study aims at exploring Chinese senior high school students'use of the three types of English ditransitive construction verbs (i.e., explicit-giving verbs, implicit-giving verbs and bare-giving verbs) and the two types of English ditransitive constructions (i.e., central ditransitive constructions and prepositional dative construction )The research results manifest that there are differences in Chinese senior high school students'use of the three types of English ditransitive construction verbs and the two types of English ditransitive constructions. Specifically, students use the implicit-giving verbs most frequently and the use of bare-giving verbs is the least, while the use of explicit-giving verbs is in between. In other words, Chinese senior high school students'acquisition of implicit-giving verbs is better than that of bare-giving verbs and explicit-giving verbs. In addition, the research results show that Chinese senior high school students incline to use the prepositional dative construction when using the English ditransitive construction, which reflects that Chinese senior high school students'acquisition of the prepositional dative construction is better than that of the central English ditransitive construction. The thesis includes six chapters.Chapter One is the introduction and it includes four parts.
